Main menu:
One or more icons from the WIP330 desktop or control panel are missing and you can no longer upgrade the phone, go to websites etc.
It looks like your firmware may have got corrupted. I have only ever heard of this happening following failed firmware upgrades but there may be other causes. I have had to return a phone to Linksys myself when this happened to me. I did not follow my own advice and started pressing buttons on the device before it had fully loaded the desktop after the upgrade. Howerver, a bit more is known now about the nature of firmware corruption and what to do about it.
If any of the icons which allow you to factory reset or change the firmware remain then do that first and foremost. You need to reinstall a fully working firmware to your device. If the necessary icons are not there then:
1. Located in the Wip330 folder on your WIP330 and surviving reboots the SysSet.ini file is like an index containing the file structure and settings of your phone. If the SysSet.ini is corrupted then it may be possible to rewrite it See the Bad Firmware page for full details
If that fails then:
2. Move good copies of damaged files back into their correct folders to allow the icons to appear in the phone's control panel. Try and restore any of the icons which will allow you to force a new firmware upgrade which will hopefully allow you to restore a new and fully working system. See the Firmware Repair page for full details.
