SIP Settings
If you are still having difficulties getting your phone to register with a VOIP provider and need to test the phone I have made available some working settings you can install into your phone via the GUI. This is not the same as updating the firmware and the firmware remains as before.
I opened a free account with the VOIPProvider lowratevoip.com. I Factory Reset my phone, entered the settings manually and was able to make calls with no problem and exported and saved the settings. I Factory Reset again and reloaded them via the GUI from the saved file. Again no problems making calls.
This will only work with firmware versions 1.03.10.SUA and above as STUN is used.
This will reset your GUI login/password to the factory default of admin/0000.
You may have to reset your network settings if you do not use DHCP and re enter your network password
Here's what to do:
1. Factory reset your WIP330 (Menu/Phone Settings on handset)
2. Download and open this file: http://rapidshare.com/files/98465013/Test_WIP330_settings.rar
3. Using the WIP330 GUI go to Administration/Download & Upload and in the box marked To Load the File select System. In the Select file to Upload box find the Files.crp file you downloaded
4. Press Upload The Phone will then reboot.
5. After you have remade your Network settings (if necessary) your phone should then Register OK.
6. Test the phone, make sure the blue light is lit and the word wip33060 appears on the right of your screen.
You should be able to make some short test calls.
This should now prove that your phone is OK and can be used as a starting point for your own VOIP settings.
If it does not work now then you probably your router is not forwarding your ports correctly.
