WIP330

The WIP330 uses the Windows CE operating system, version 4.2. Microsoft produce an application called Activesync which allows your PC to address the file system within the WIP330 as if it were a hard drive.

1. You must be running an older firmware version such as wip330_v1_01_00.bin.

2. Install Activesync - 4.2 or 4.5 beta, both work.

3. Install the USB driver (see the archives page) by plugging the phone into the USB cord and selecting the folder you unpacked the USB driver to in the unknown USB device dialog boxthat pops up. Otherwise right click My Computer, select Properties/Hardware/Device Manager/ and find the yellow icon for the unrecognised phone icon and right click. Follow the instructions to update/install the driver.

4. Use the ActiveSync application to explore the WIP330 and add or delete files.

I would advise anyone using Active Sync to make an Active Sync backup of the entire Windows CE folder and keep it handy in case it is needed. Individual files can be extracted from it with STGViewer and uploadedto the WIP330 with the onboard Windows CE file browser.
