WIP330

Firstly, you can't damage your phone in any way with this procedure. Nothing is written permanantly to the WIP330 and everything returns to the previous settings when you reboot the WIP330.

This works well for me and most other users but for some people it fails no apparent reason. These screens are from the procedure using firmware wip330_v1_03_18S.bin

OK, here's what you do...

1. Using your computer browser - Internet Explorer is best for this - enter the network IP address of the
WIP330 - in this case we will assume it is http://192.168.1.23 - You may have to try this once or twice to make the connection.

2. Login, the default Login/Password is admin/0000 (sometimes Admin/0000)

3. Enter: http://192.168.1.23/NetworkAdmin/
set up a password (lost on reset). The user name will be ADMIN.
Hit Submit button

4. Enter: http://192.168.1.23/sysAdmin/
It will ask you for the User Name and Password
Enter User Name: ADMIN and the password you just set up.

5. From the new screen choose No Frames (Simple)

6. From the new screen choose System Tools

7. From the new screen choose Processes

8. From the new screen enter KeyMouseCtrl.exe /Skype into the text box (note the space)
Hit Execute.

9. The WIP330 screen may flash and stay white, hit any of the
circular navigation keys.

10. The first Skype screen should now appear. (If you only see the normal WIP330 desktop, trry pressing a navigation key anyway).

11. You will be asked to enter you Skype account details or set up a new account. These settings will be rememered between reboots

To quit Skype and return to SIP, select the Option button and select
Exit.




One intresting point to note is that pressing the top key on the side of the phone expands or contracts the Skype screen to show or hide the system clock. That is the only known use for this key.
