There are no less than three passwords that you can lose for the WIP330. There is a password/login required to access the GUI webpages and there are also User and Admin passwords optionally required to access the phone on bootup.

This only works for a lost Admin password to access your WIP330 via the GUI. It does NOT work if you have forgotten the password set from your handset menu. Sorry..

Solution 1

Use this engineer's backdoor login.

Make a new password and login and write it down this time!

Solution 2

When your phone is on your LAN and substituting your own WIP330 IP for the one used below then

With Internet Explorer on your PC enter:

http://192.168.1.20/NetworkAdmin

assign a password when asked (lost on reboot) then go to

http://192.168.1.20/sysAdmin/

the login will be ADMIN and use the password you just assigned.

Choose IE4+
Choose File Browser
Choose +WindowsCE
navigate to WindowsCE\WIP330\SYSET.INI

click on the file name (SYSET.INI) to read the contents and scroll down to find your password.

These solutions iare for the GUI only, it does not get you in if you have lost the phone password, the one set from the keypad menu.
