WIP330

You can install new firmware directly with the WIP330 keypad by just enetering in the location of the upgrade file. However, this is a slightly trickier process than the normal GUI method and perhaps more likely to encounter problems.

1. Make sure your WIP330 is powered either by the mains adaptor or by a USB cable to your computer

2. Download the firmware file to your computer or take note of the remote address of the file. If you downloaded the firmware then you now need to make it available on a web server on your network.

3 On the WIP330 go to Menu/Phone Settings/Upgrade this shows you the UpgradeSet screen.

4 Select the top box in the UpgradeSet screen marked as Download Url and select the centre navigation button. Click on this and enter the address of the location of the file - ie https://www.wip330.com/R2/ do not enter the file name. Click Exit.

5 Select the OS Image file box on the UpgradeSet screen and in the same was as above enter tbhe file name ie wip330_v1_01_00s.bin

6. Hit upgrade. Keep waiting, it may take a few minutes. Do not be tempted to unplug the phone or to do anything with it other than just look at it. The screen may flash and tell you the old firmware is being erased and then that the new firmware is being installed. The whole process takes about ten minutes.
