Broken Speaker

You have blown your speaker. Maybe you tried install a ringtone that was the wrong amplitude, maybe you poked something into the speaker grill, dropped the phone, or damaged it some other way.

In fact thanks to the hard work of
Trivius this need not be the end of your phone. It is possible with a little basic soldering to replace the damaged speaker with one from certain mobile phones, these speakers can be obtained as spares for less than $20 online.

What to do:

1. Carefully disassemble the WIP330 and remove the speaker.

2. Nip the connector off the original speaker.

3. The replacement speaker has two tiny wires, without any connector. Take the connector from the original speaker, solder it to the new speaker.

4. Fix all that back in its place in the casing (it had exact same dimensions, so no glue is needed).
