WIP330

If you look through the WIP330's settings you will find an section called Auto-Provisioning (Menu/PhoneSettings/Auto-Provisioning). This is supposed to automatically check the firmware version on the phone against that on a Linksys server and then update itself. I myself have it turned off as I prefer to update my firmware by hand.

There are settings for

Server Type - http or https
Server Url - The address you download from
File - The firmware version to install
Resync on Reset - Update on reboot

However the file setting does not always show the latest firmware version or update itself correctly.

to check for the latest file which you can enter into the File setting yourself.





You can also enter the Auto-Provisioning settings through the WIP330 GUI page (Administration/Auto Provision)

The correct settings should be:

Server Url: https://voip.linksys.com/wip330
Path and File Name: wip330_v1_03_18S.bin
Transmission Type: HTTPS
Resync On Reset: NO (or YES - to check for updates when rebooting)
Period: blank unless told otherwise (this is for scheduled update checks)
Decrypt Key: blank unless told otherwise (for encrypted files)
Confirm Key: blank unless told otherwise
